A suspect armed with a knife is accused of threatening two pedestrians on a University of Iowa bicycle path.
UI Police say they received a report of a man who approached two pedestrians with a knife on Monday evening while they were walking along the Clear Creek Bike Trail, which runs alongside the Hawkeye Recreation Fields and near the Aspire at West Campus apartment complex. The reporting party was not harmed in the incident. No additional information or suspect description has been available.
UI officials describe the incident as an “attempted aggravated assault”.
