He also brought up the bill requiring a Civics Test for students graduating from High School. Green also took a look at the status of property tax reform. Aired Friday, April 18, 2025.

Sgt. Ryan Palmer and Det. John Mayse, Boone Police Department are guests and talk about April being Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Child Abuse Prevention Month. Mayse has investigated many cases in the past several years. He talked about some of the changing issues that investigators have to deal with, and not just in Boone County. He also talked about the impact of technology and in particular some of the challenges dealing AI (artificial intelligence). Aired Thursday, April 17, 2025.

Boone CSD, EDGE Program Featured in National STEM BEST® Video

Dr. Julie Trepa, Superintendent, Boone Community School District reviews information from Monday’s School Board Meeting. The first part of the meeting was the Public Hearing on the District’s Budget for the next fiscal year. There were no comments and the Board adopted the budget as published. During the Board meeting, formal action was taken to accept a donation for the EDGE program, made by the Associated Builders & Contractors of Iowa on behalf of Kruck Plumbing and Heating. The contribution was made because Kruck’s working with the committee developing a Boone County Veterans Center. Aired Tuesday, April 15, 2025.
