An Iowa man was arrested last week after he was found with a stolen bicycle
At around 1:10am August 20th, 26-year-old Benjamin Rodgers of Winfield Iowa was observed on a bicycle entering the Walgreens parking lot on the Coralville Strip. He allegedly parked the bike against the front doors while the business was closed, then began to wander around the parking lot.
Upon contact, Rodgers admitted that he rode the bike to the drugstore. A check of the bike’s serial number showed that it had been stolen out of Coralville and was valued at $700.
Rodgers was taken into custody and charged with 4th degree theft, a serious misdemeanor punishable by a jail sentence of up to a year if convicted.
