An Alabama man was arrested early Sunday morning when he was allegedly observed driving erratically while intoxicated.

According to the police report, 32-year-old Tyler Willingham of Steele Alabama was stopped on Highway 6 East after failing to maintain his lane. He reportedly pulled into the VA Hospital parking lot and made a long slow turn before stopping.

Willingham told the officer that he was in possession of a firearm in the middle console of his vehicle.

After showing the normal signs of intoxication and performing poorly on field tests, he refused PBT and Datamaster tests.

Willingham was charged with OWI first offense and carrying a weapon while intoxicated. If convicted on both counts, he could be sentenced to up to two years in jail.
