Temperatures will take a dip as we head into the weekend.
The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning for Delaware, Dubuque, Buchanan, Jones and Linn counties. The Freeze Warning will go into effect starting at 1 am Saturday and running through 9 am.
Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 30 are expected. Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing. Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.
It’s the only night with the potential to reach below freezing, with low temps on Saturday night forecasted for 38. Highs will be in the upper 50s on Saturday and lower 60s on Sunday.
