A special election is being held in Riverside today to fill an open City Council seat.
Travis Riggan, Levi Schnoebelen and Nickie Nguyen are running for the seat, vacated by 2025 election winner Chris Grinstead, who stepped down after moving from Riverside to Washington.
Edgar McGuire, a fourth candidate, dropped out last week but he may still appear on the ballot. He endorsed Riggan for the seat.
The winner will fill out a four-year term that expires at the end of 2029.
Polls are open until 8pm at Riverside City Hall.
