The motorcyclist injured in a crash near Lone Tree last week has died.
The Iowa State Patrol says 61-year-old Terry Burns of Lone Tree was injured when his 2001 Harley Davidson was hit by a 2022 Chevy Silverado that was westbound on Highway 22 just before 3:00 last Thursday afternoon. Burns was northbound on Wapsi Avenue when he crossed the highway and was struck.
Burns was transported to University of Iowa Health Care, where he later died.
The driver of the Chevy is identified as 59-year-old William Lewis of Blair, Nebraska.
The incident is under investigation.
