City of Iowa City news release
Due to forecasted inclement weather, the Iowa City Farmers Market Kids Market scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, will be moved indoors to the Robert A. Lee Recreation Center, located just south of the regular Iowa City Farmers Market grounds at 220 S. Gilbert St., Iowa City, IA.
The Kids Market will take place from 9 a.m. to noon inside the Recreation Center. Families can still enjoy the Kids Market and support young entrepreneurs while staying warm and dry.
The Iowa City Farmers Market Kids Market provides children with an opportunity to experience what it is like to run their own small business. Young vendors will offer a variety of handmade goods, treats, crafts, and other products for shoppers to enjoy.
The regular Iowa City Farmers Market will continue as planned at its usual location and time.
