The Iowa City Public Library invites families to celebrate the grand finale of its Summer Reading Program at “Thrilling Thursday: Last Splash of Summer,” a free community event on Thursday.
“Last Splash of Summer” has grown into one of the Library’s biggest outdoor events of the year, drawing families from across Iowa City for one last blast before summer winds down. Guests can drop in anytime during the two-hour event to enjoy bubbles, a mega foam blaster party, and a variety of wet and messy games and activities. The Iowa City Fire Department will also be on hand with fire safety activities for children, and every child can enjoy a free Kona shaved ice treat.
“Last Splash of Summer” runs from 10am to Noon Thursday at Wetherby Park on Taylor Drive.
The event is free and open to the public, with no registration required.
