

DES MOINES, Iowa—The National Weather Service Office in Des Moines has provided updated information concerning possible severe weather, including heavy rainfall leading to a potential for flash flooding, especially in urban areas, and isolated severe thunderstorm risks.
The heavy rain potential will impact much of central Iowa tonight through early Friday, with localized ponding and flash flooding possible. Severe risks will be over western Iowa tonight, then over southeast Iowa on Friday afternoon.
