One adult was displaced and two pet cats perished in a Coralville fire Thursday.
According to a release from the Fire Department, crews responded to a reported fire on the 200 block of Holiday Road at approximately 1pm. Arriving firefighters found a fire in the kitchen of one of the units.
The fire was brought under control in about 15 minutes. Crews remained on scene for about an hour. The fire was ruled to be accidental in nature.
The Coralville Fire Department received assistance from the North Liberty Fire Department, Coralville Police, Johnson County Ambulance, and the Johnson County Joint Emergency Communication Center.
