University of Iowa president Barbara Wilson was awarded a pay bump in a closed-door annual performance review this week.

At their Wednesday meeting, the Regents voted to approve a $50,000 pay increase for Wilson backdated to July 1st, making her total base salary $875,000.

She was the only Regent university president to receive a raise this year. Iowa State’s President, David Cook, is making $700,000 per year after starting on March 1st. UNI President Mark Nook makes $410,000 per year.

The regents awarded raises to all three presidents in each of the previous two years.

Wilson has received over $250,000 in raises since starting at the U of I in 2021.
