A Bread Garden employee who was taken into custody by Immigration and Customs Enforcement last year has been sentenced in Federal court to time served plus one day behind bars. There will be no supervised release.
Jorge González Ochoa pleaded guilty to charges of fraud and misuse of documents. The sentence was part of a plea deal that saw charges of use of an immigration identification document not lawfully issued and the false representation of a Social Security number dropped.
Gonzalez Ochoa admitted to entering the US illegally from Columbia. In May 2025, he was in possession of a permanent residency card and a Social Security card in another person’s name, and allegedly used those documents to get a job. Court documents indicate that Gonzalez Ochoa was aware the documents were unlawfully obtained.
González Ochoa could still be subject to immediate removal from the United States.
