A Booneville man was arrested Sunday after allegedly assaulting a Booneville man.
Jeffrey Howard Gardipee, 43, of 28925 360th St., Booneville, was charged with assault causing bodily injury or mental illness.
The incident began about 1 a.m. Sunday at a residence in the 28900 block of 360th Street, where Dallas County Deputy Sheriffs responded to a report of a disturbance.
The deputies made contact with Gardipee, who said he “punched” the victim and then “took” him “to the ground,” according to court records.
The deputies observed on the victim “red marks underneath his right eye” and “red marks around his neck area,” according to court records.
Gardipee was held in the Dallas County Jail on a $1,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing July 30 in Dallas County District Court.
