A Marion man was arrested over the weekend after allegedly fighting with numerous people outside a downtown Iowa City bar.
The incident occurred Saturday at around 2:20 am outside Bo James on East Washington Street. 21-year-old Sean Beck allegedly struck one victim in the head, causing injury. Officers told him to stop, but Beck reportedly took off running.
When apprehended, Beck had signs of intoxication including bloodshot eyes, unsteady balance, slurred speech, and the odor of ingested alcohol.
Beck was charged with Assault causing Bodily Injury, Interference with Official Acts, Disorderly Conduct, and Public Intoxication. If convicted on all counts, he could be sentenced to up to 15 months in jail.
