An Iowa City man wanted for failing to appear for his August 3rd arraignment on a possession charge was arrested early Sunday.
21-year-old DaiTawn Harrington of Broadway Street was allegedly involved in a fight down the street from his apartment. One of the officers dispatched to the scene recognized him and shouted his name. Harrington allegedly began walking away and was told to stop. He then fled on foot despite multiple commands for him to stop.
Harrington was eventually caught and taken into custody. He was charged with Interference with Official Acts, a simple misdemeanor. If convicted on both charges, Harrington could be sentenced to up to 13 months in jail.
