An arrest warrant has been issued for a transient accused of assaulting an Iowa City Police officer while she was naked.

40-year-old Becca Bridges had a case management conference set for Friday. Online records show she failed to appear, and a warrant was issued for her arrest.

Iowa City Police say just after 1:30 on the morning of June 21st Bridges was seen walking nude around the Town & Campus Apartments on Arthur Street. Arrest records indicate one person offered her help, but Bridges grabbed the victim by the throat, pushed her up against a door, and told her she was going to fight the woman.

Arriving police say Bridges showed signs of intoxication, admitted to drinking, and spit at officers and paramedics. She allegedly had to be carried to a squad car after refusing to walk on her own.
Bridges is charged with Assault, Assault on Persons in Certain Occupations, Public Intoxication, and Interference With Official Acts. If convicted on all counts, she faces a maximum of 27 months in jail.
