Team USA dominates Hungary in FIBA Women’s World Cup quarterfinal

Team USA had no trouble with Hungary this morning in a FIBA Women’s World Cup quarterfinal game in Berlin, winning 108-56.

The team shot 59% from the field including 52 percent from three-point range. Caitlin Clark nearly had a double-double, scoring 10 points and making 9 assists.

Napheeesa Collier led with 19, followed by Rhyne Howard with 15. Jackie Young also had 10 during the rout.

Team USA advances to Saturday’s semifinal; they will play the winner of this afternoon’s game between Australia and the Spanish team that features former Hawkeye Megan (Gustafson) DiLeo.

Game times on Saturday are 9:30am and 1pm.
