September is Preparedness Month in Johnson County.
It’s a great time for households to come together and think about how they can get ready for emergencies—whether at home, school, or in the community.
Johnson County’s preparedness efforts align with National Preparedness Month, observed each September across the United States.
During Preparedness Month, Johnson County Emergency Management encourages residents to take four simple steps to ensure they are prepared. They include being aware of hazards in your area, making an emergency plan, building an emergency kit, and getting involved by lending a hand during community disasters.
