The owners of Riverside Casino have broken ground on a new $35 million water park and RV resort .
KCRG TV reports Blackjack Beach will be located across Highway 22 from Riverside Casino and Golf Resort. Developers say the project will create about 150 jobs and help draw more visitors to Riverside and the surrounding region.
The project is being built on a 200-acre site and is expected to include 154 RV sites, a 70,000 square foot plus aquatic park and a clubhouse with banquet and event space.
The project begins as Cedar Rapids readies for the opening of Cedar Crossing Casino in November with a grand opening set for December 4-5.
