A Drake University football player has been arrested after allegedly urinating in a downtown Iowa City alley.
University of Iowa Police report seeing 18-year-old Declan Gill of Chicago urinating in the alley next to the new Union Bar on South Clinton Street just after midnight Sunday morning. He allegedly showed signs of intoxication, refused breath testing, and was in possession of a fake ID.
Gill is charged with Public Intoxication and Possession of a Fictitious License. If convicted on both counts, he faces a maximum of 13 months in jail.
The Drake football team played last Thursday night, losing at home to South Dakota Mines 38-35.
