Coralville man accused of robbing Muscatine bank

A Coralville man was arrested Monday morning after allegedly robbing a Muscatine bank.
The Muscatine Police Department issued a release stating that at approximately 9:05am, they received a report of an armed robbery at US Bank on Park Avenue. Officers responded immediately and began searching for a male subject who fled the scene.
A Muscatine County Sheriff’s deputy located the suspect’s vehicle traveling north on Highway 38 and additional units responded to help. An Iowa State Trooper initiated a traffic stop just north of Highway 38’s intersection with Highway 6.
The suspect was identified as 38-year-old Matthew Rawson of Coralville. He’s been charged with one count of Armed Robbery with additional charges pending. He was taken into custody without incident.
