DES MOINES, Iowa—The National Weather Service Office in Des Moines has provided updated information concerning hazardous weather. Heavy rainfall leading to a potential for flash flooding remains a concern, mainly in urban areas. There is still a risk of isolated severe thunderstorms. Heavy rain potential continues today with localized ponding and isolated flash flooding possible, mainly in urban areas. Severe risks will be over portions of central and eastern Iowa this afternoon.
