Iowa City man accused of bring minor to Iowa for sexual purposes

An Iowa City man is accused of bringing a minor across state lines in order to perform sex acts.

34-year-old Musaab Hissein Tarhoni was booked into the Johnson County Jail just before 9:30 Tuesday morning. Iowa City Police say Hissein Tarhoni traveled to Wisconsin on December 28th of last year, picked up a minor, and brought them to his residence. The two then allegedly engaged in sex acts over the course of several days.

A search warrant executed on Hissein Tarhoni’s East Bloomington Street residence reportedly turned up possessions belonging to the minor, and his DNA was allegedly on the minor’s person.

Hissein Tarhoni is charged with 2nd Degree Sexual Abuse. If convicted, he faces a maximum of ten years in prison.
