DES MOINES, Iowa—At the beginning of last week, before mid-week rains, drought conditions across the state had expanded with Abnormally Dry conditions covering about 70% of the state. About two and half percent of the state had Moderate Drought conditions.
Locally, Boone County, for the first time in several weeks was considered Abnormally Dry.
