A Fayette man died following an ATV crash on Friday afternoon.
The accident happened just after 4 pm near 19186 160th Street just outside Sumner shortly after 4 pm.
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office says 84-year old Veryl Alfred Burghardt was driving his ATV westbound on 160th Street east of T Avenue when he entered the north ditch and crashed.
Burghardt was transported to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Authorities say he was not wearing his seatbelt.
