The Dyersville Police Department reports one man died and another was seriously injured as the result of an industrial accident at FarmTek in Dyersville yesterday morning. Police say they received the emergency call around 8:35 and when officers arrived found two men had fallen about 20 feet from a portable scaffold.
The man who died has been identified as Bruce Bockenstedt of Manchester who was rushed to MercyOne in Dyersville where he was pronounced dead. The other man injured who has not been identified was first taken to MercyOne in Dubuque and then transferred to University Hospital in Iowa City. No information on his condition is available.
The accident remains under investigation.
