Bicyclist killed in Christmas afternoon accident near Walford

A bicyclist was killed in a Christmas afternoon accident near Walford.

According to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, the bicyclist was riding northbound in front of 11609 Linn Benton Road just before 2:30 Saturday afternoon when they were struck by a northbound 2017 Ford Escape being driven by Holly Dubishar of Amana.

The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident remains under investigation.
