A Wapello County woman is accused of assaulting a pair of Coralville Police officers.

According to arrest rerecords, officers located 22-year-old Riley Crow of Ottumwa hiding in a bush on the 300 block of 4th Avenue just after 4:45 Friday morning. She reportedly showed signs of intoxication and admitted to drinking. Her friends told investigators that Riley had consumed multiple beverages during the night.

Riley refused breath testing and was taken into custody. She allegedly began planting her feet to prevent law enforcement from taking her into the squad car, and police say she kicked the vehicle and the officers while they were trying to place her inside.

Crow is charged with two counts of Assault on Persons in Certain Occupations and one count each of Public Intoxication and Interference With Official Acts. If convicted on all charges, she faces up to 50 months in prison.
