One person was airlifted after a farm accident in Linn County on Thursday afternoon.
Emergency personnel were dispatched to 511 Dubuque Road in rural Springville shortly before 1:30 pm. The Linn County Sheriff’s Office says a man was pinned between the loader arms of a skid steer and its cab. First responders were able to free the man and provide aid until medical personnel arrived on the scene.
The victim, 67-year old Joe Gillmore of Springville, was seriously injured and airlifted to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
