Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig was in Manchester on Thursday.
It was a campaign stop on his statewide Keep Iowa Growing Tour. A handful of residents joined Secretary Naig at Old 20 Auctions, sharing concerns and asking questions. Naig says there are definitely some key issues surrounding agriculture heading into this year’s election.
Naig, the Republican nominee for Iowa Ag Secretary, grew up as a farm boy actively involved in 4-H and FFA.
Naig says he’s proud of where Iowa agriculture stands since he first took office in 2018, though he notes there is still work to do.
Secretary Naig also made campaign stops today in Oelwein and Cascade. He faces Democratic challenger Chris Jones in the November 3rd general election.
