BOONE, Iowa—The Boone Fire Department responded to a fire at Sundance Apartment, 1309 South Linn Street, about ten to four Monday morning. According to Fire Chief Justin Adams, the fire effected two apartments but ten were evacuated due to various issues, smoke and loss of electrical power which was apparently the biggest impact. Adams reported that one person was transported by ambulance to the Boone County Hospital for evaluation for a medical related matter, unrelated to the fire. Adams reported their were no injuries to either occupants or firefighters. The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation. The Ogden Fire Department provided mutual aid assistance with the call which concluded at 7:10 a.m.
