Election Day is almost here! Time to pray! Time to go vote! Make your plan if you haven’t already! We will be electing a U.S. Senator, a Congressman, a Governor, an Attorney General, a State Auditor, a Secretary of Agriculture, a Secretary of State, a State Treasurer, a state senator, a state representative, and a bunch of county and local offices.
What Will You Choose?
As each successive election goes by, we see the contrast in the issues getting more and more stark. The differences between views on the issues get more and more clear as each year goes by.
Yes, there are still some issues where there is middle ground, but that middle ground is growing increasingly narrow. We must decide which side we will stand on. We must choose.
You can’t have both endless government and limited government. You must choose.
You can’t have both a broad array of services and modest taxes. You must choose.
You can’t have both high taxes and an economic environment that facilitates growth. You must choose.
You can’t have both strangling regulations on family farms and businesses and expect that they will remain strong and viable. You must choose.
You can’t have both socialism and free enterprise. You must choose.
You can’t expect both government totalitarian-type heavy-handedness and citizen respect for the law. You must choose.
You can’t have both a lack of government transparency and citizen trust in our governmental institutions. You must choose.
You can’t have both aggressive economic development and protection of private property rights. You must choose.
You can’t have both absolute safety and the right to keep and bear arms. You must choose.
You can’t have both uniformity of viewpoints and religious liberty and freedom of speech. You must choose.
You can’t have both abortion and the valuation and protection of life. You must choose.
You can’t have both a life lived by the values of the Sexual Revolution and expect to have strong families with secure, well-grounded children. You must choose.
You can’t have both guaranteed outcomes and abundant liberty. You must choose.
You can’t have both no law enforcement and peace in our communities. You must choose.
You can’t have both an unsecured border and peace in our cities. You must choose.
You can’t both refuse to be strong and expect respect from your enemies. You must choose.
You can’t both teach children all of what’s bad about America and little of what’s good and expect them to love their country and become productive contributing citizens. You must choose.
You can’t both tolerate abusive and disruptive behavior in school and expect kids to learn respect for authority. You must choose.
You can’t both ignore parental rights and expect support from parents in the schools. You must choose.
You can’t have both weak informed consent for medical decisions and expect parents and patients to trust the medical care they receive. You must choose.
You can’t have both a laissez-faire election process and free and fair elections. You must choose.
Conclusion: These issues are all on the ballot in these midterm elections! Choose wisely! “Staying home” is not an option! Too many of us have done that in the past and it has hurt us and enabled many bad things to happen. We are privileged to live in America where we have a voice, but we must use it!
Gone are the days when we could stay in the bubble of our wonderful life with our family and friends and whatever else we enjoy doing. Our enemies of socialism, communism, Islamic terrorism, anarchy, totalitarianism, and anti-Constitutionalism are at war with us whether we realize it or not! We must wake up, get engaged, take a stand, and fight!
Your vote is your declaration of what side you stand on! Your vote is your weapon in this fight!
