Iowa Governor-elect Rob Sand has appointed two campaign veterans to be a part of his transition team.
The Gazette reports Elizabeth Buck and Morgan Miller will guide Sand through the process of hiring staff, appointing state agency directors and other logistic needs for a new administration.
Buck is no stranger to transition teams, having run the transition for former Iowa governors Tom Vilsack and Chet Culver. She is a former director of Iowa Workforce Development and retired as president of the United Way of Central Iowa in 2021.
Miller is the political director for the Iowa State Education Association and has over a decade of experience on federal, state and local campaigns.
Sand’s team also announced a new website, iowaforall.com, which according to them, will keep Iowans up to date on the transition process, job opportunities, and includes a page where residents can express interest in serving on state boards and commissions.
