An armed subject is accused of making a shooting threat at a University of Iowa dormitory.

UI Police were called to Catlett Hall on North Madison Street just after 10:15 last Monday night for a subject who had threatened to shoot a resident in the face if they had lied to him. The suspect, 46-year-old Martin Eady of Le Mars, was found a short time later. Police say he was in possession of several knives, showed signs of intoxication, and was in possession of an open container of alcohol.

Eady is charged with 1st Degree Harassment and Public Intoxication. If convicted on both counts, he faces up to 25 months in prison.
