University of Iowa quarterback Jeremy Hecklinski was selected Monday as one of the Manning Award Stars of the Week following Iowa’s 41-24 victory at Washington.

Hecklinski made his first career start, throwing for 202 yards and three touchdowns. He directed an Iowa offense that racked up 465 yards of total offense.

The native of Marietta, Georgia, is the fourth Iowa quarterback in the Kirk Ferentz era to throw for three touchdowns in his starting debut, joining Jon Beutjer, who threw for 4 in 2000; Ricky Stanzi in 2008 and Nate Stanley in 2017.

Following the dominant road win over the Huskies, Iowa moved to No. 17 in the latest AP Poll.

The Hawkeyes come off a bye week to play at Minnesota on Saturday, Oct. 24. Kickoff time has been announced at 2:30pm; TV network has yet to be announced.
