A Coralville woman is in custody on a warrant stemming from a stabbing incident in Iowa City.
According to court records, 26-year-old Latara Howard of the Iowa Lodge on the Coralville Strip was seen on video in Iowa City on Taylor drive in possession of a knife in the overnight hours of September 19th. The video allegedly shows Howard swinging the knife towards two victims while being held back by another party.
Police say three victims were stabbed multiple times and needed medical care for their injuries.
A warrant was issued October 6th; Howard was arrested Tuesday night and faces one count of going armed with intent and three counts of willful injury causing bodily injury. If convicted on all charges, Howard could be sentenced to up to 20 years in prison.
