Supervisors hold public hearing for amendment of Fiscal Year 2026 budget regarding Sheriff’s Department vehicle replacement

The Allamakee County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Monday, June 29 to address a full agenda of matters including the consideration of bids received for bulk highway de-icing salt, the Public Hearing for the Allamakee County Fiscal-Year 2026 (FY26) Budget Amendment, and discussion and consideration of the annual designation of location for posting public notices.

The meeting was called to order by Board of Supervisors Chairperson Tom Clark with Supervisors Dan Byrnes and Dennis Keatley present. There was no Public Comment during the time allotted for that matter.

The meeting moved into the Public Hearing for the Allamakee County Fiscal-Year 2026 (FY26) Budget Amendment. The Public Hearing was opened with County Auditor Denise Beyer providing background relating to the amendment which involves the purchase of a Sheriff’s Department patrol vehicle and associated equipment replacement that had been discussed at the June 15 Board of Supervisors meeting. The Public Hearing was closed. The Supervisors next approved the adoption of the FY26 County Budget Amendment.
