Hot and humid conditions return this week, with highs in the 90’s through Saturday.
The National Weather Service says the peak will be Tuesday through Friday, when afternoon peak heat index readings are expected to reach the mid 90’s to around 100 degrees.
Uncertainty exists regarding exact dew point temperatures, which will be pivotal to how hot it feels and how effectively your body can regulate its own temperature. The NWS does not expect the conditions to be as oppressive as two weeks ago.
There’s also uncertainty in how long the hot weather will persist, with some potential to extend into next weekend.
Highs next week are expected to be in the 80’s.
