Rob Sand will be holding a town hall meeting in Delaware County next week.
Sand, the Democratic nominee for Iowa governor, has announced his annual 100 Town Hall Tour across Iowa. The 100 Town Hall Tour stops in every county – plus Lee County’s two county seats.
In addition to announcing the full 100-stop tour, Rob also announced a new policy proposal as part of his “Accountability for All” agenda: making public town halls a requirement for elected officials to qualify on the Iowa ballot.
The Town Hall Tour begins next Wednesday, June 17th at 7 pm in Rob’s hometown of Decorah. The following day – on Thursday, June 18th – Sand will hold a town hall in Clayton County at 9 am, Delaware County at 11:30 am and Jones County at 2 pm.
Later this summer, Sand will hold a town hall in Dubuque County on Monday, August 24th at 7 pm; on Tuesday, August 25th in Fayette County at 11:45 am and Buchanan County at 1:45 pm; and in Linn County on Wednesday, September 23rd at 6 pm.
Sand’s team says the exact location of each town hall has not yet been announced, but keep listening for more details as next week’s town halls get closer.
