High Speed Chase Wednesday Night Leads to Fugitive Capture

A high speed chase through three counties Wednesday night ended with the arrest of a fugitive. The incident began as an investigation by the US Marshall’s Office. KMCH News reached out to the public affairs department of the Marshall’s office.  It was explained that this centered around a missing fugitive case. Marshalls determined that the fugitive, who was not named, was in a residence in Marion. The fugitive became aware of the Marshall’s discovery and attempted to escape capture, starting a high speed chase that reached speeds of 130 miles per hour along highway 13. The Linn County Sheriff’s Office, along with deputies from Delaware County and Buchanan County and Manchester Police, all assisted with the chase. The fugitive was ultimately stopped in Buchanan County where they were taken into custody. No further details were given.
