RIPPEY, Iowa — The Rippey Ruckus VI baseball season starts Friday, May 1 at the Walt Anderson baseball field, where the Rippey Demons take on the Kansas City Bulls at 2:30 p.m.
The second game will feature the Minnesota Angels playing the Chicago Eagles.
Early birds will see footage of the field prep, with a chance to talk to the players and Eric Hanson from KCCI, who will cover the games as part of his Americana story for the 250th birthday of U.S.
“We would love to has as many locals there in the stands as it would be a great for the story to have as many in the bleachers having popcorn and enjoying us old timers playing baseball,” said local promoter Mary Hick.
The action will continue on Saturday, with four games scheduled from 10 a.m. and continuing until dusk. Sunday will feature two games starting at 10 a.m.
