.A winter system moving across Iowa Friday evening through early
Sunday is expected to bring several inches of snowfall across
central Iowa, with significant travel impacts likely Friday through
the weekend.
…WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY EVENING THROUGH EARLY
SUNDAY MORNING…
* WHAT…Moderate to heavy snow accumulations expected. Total snow
accumulations between 6 and 14 inches. A light glaze of ice is
possible.
* WHERE…All of central Iowa for the snow. Portions of southwest
Iowa for the icing.
* WHEN…From Friday evening through early Sunday morning for the
snow. Saturday morning for the ice.
* IMPACTS…Travel will be very difficult to impossible. The
hazardous conditions are expected to impact Post-Thanksgiving
travel.
