One person died following a collision in Fayette County on Friday morning.
It happened east of Westgate on 100th Street near S Avenue shortly before 11 am. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office says 79-year old Loyce L. Bunn of Westgate was eastbound on 100th Street. Bunn’s SUV crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a pickup truck. Both vehicles came to rest in the center of the road.
Bunn suffered fatal injuries.
The driver of the pickup, 73-year old Robert R. Crawford of Maynard, was injured and transported to Community Memorial Hospital in Sumner.
The accident remains under investigation.
