Vote.org says it is seeing a surge in Iowans using its tools to register to vote and check their registration status as Monday’s online and mail voter registration deadline approaches.

From Wednesday through Friday, Iowans used Vote.org to register to vote at more than six times the normal rate, while registration checks more than quintupled.

The spike comes as Iowa voter registrations through Vote.org outpace the 2022 midterm election cycle. Through Friday, 3,788 Iowans have used Vote.org to register to vote, more than 64 percent higher than 2022 levels (2,303).

Iowans have also used Vote.org to check their registration status 13,590 times this year, roughly 77 percent more than in 2022.

Eligible Iowa residents can register online or by mail through Monday. Those who miss the deadline can register in person. Visit Vote.org for more information.
