A Hiawatha man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after leading state police on a pursuit.
Just after 4:45pm, 26-year-old Quintrell Bramow of 19th Avenue Court was reportedly observed by a trooper driving recklessly westbound on Interstate 80, making several inappropriate lane changes before heading northbound on I380.
A trooper in the air clocked Bramow going 106 miles an hour. The trooper on the ground caught up with him at the Forevergreen Road exit ramp, but he continued eastbound on Forevergreen and ran a red light at Kansas Avenue SE. Bramow allegedly passed vehicles inappropriately before heading north on Jones Boulevard, blowing through another red light.
He turned his vehicle around and headed southbound before driving into a cornfield and running away from his vehicle.
Bramow was cited for reckless driving and charged with felony Eluding, 2nd degree Criminal Mischief, and Interference with Official Acts. If convicted on all counts, he could be sentenced to over ten years in prison.
