Tuesday
Design, paint and take home dinosaur figurines in the Workspace at the Memorial Union (MU). From 2 to 9 p.m., students can pick from various figures to customize and take home.
Don Beitz, a distinguished professor with 60 years at Iowa State, is retiring. From 4 to 6 p.m., students and faculty members are invited to celebrate Beitz’s career at the Hansen Agricultural Student Learning Center.
The Iowa State Cyclones (4-1) look to continue their solid start against the Iowa Hawkeyes (3-2). The game starts at 6:30 p.m. at Hilton Coliseum, and students are invited to wear cardinal apparel. T-shirts will be given out to students.
Wednesday
From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the MU, ClubFest will take place, offering a chance for students to learn about and join new clubs. Clubs will have booths outside of the MU and inside the Durham Great Hall.
From 6 to 7 p.m. at the north Campanile lawn, freshmen can learn more about Dance Marathon, a student-run philanthropic organization. There, students can learn about what Dance Marathon is, how to get involved and meet new people.
From 3:10 to 4 p.m., an art walk will be hosted by University Museums. Taking place at MacKay Hall, participants can learn about how generations at Iowa State have shaped the university’s history through art.
Thursday
From 4:30 to 6 p.m., the Brunnier Art Museum will be open for people to look at the galleries and connect with other art connoisseurs. The event is free, but registration is required.
Comedian Emily Wilson is taking the stage in the Maintenance Shop. Wilson, who often includes songs in her stand-up routines, will take the stage at 8 p.m. It is free for students who wish to attend.
- Karaoke Night
From 7 to 9 p.m., students can participate in karaoke night. Taking place in the Student Innovation Center in room 2260, students can sing, listen to performances and help themselves to food and drink.
Friday
At 8 p.m. in the Maintenance Shop, students can listen to ELOUR, a femme rock artist. Tickets are on sale now, and students can get them for $5.
In Carver Hall, students can watch “Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu” for free. Concessions are available, as the movie starts at 7 p.m.
Saturday
- Iowa State vs Iowa Football
Iowa State’s biggest rivals, the Iowa Hawkeyes, will host the Cyclones in Iowa City. After a dominant performance in their first game, the Cyclones will look to carry that momentum into Kinnick Stadium. Starting at 6:30 p.m., students can watch the game on NBC or stream it on Peacock or Fubo.
