MOUNT AYR, Iowa — The Ringgold County Hospital has added a new member to its executive team. Trevor Toft, an Iowa native will fill the seat of Chief Financial Officer. The position was left vacant after the June 1 announcement on that Ringgold County Hospital and its affiliate partner MercyOne were going their separate ways.
The affiliate agreement was officially ended on August 4 leaving the hospital to manage its own affairs without the administrative oversight of MercyOne, a Trinity Health subsidiary.
Ringgold County Hospital will now be governed exclusively by its own board of directors. The split had several impacts on the management team, namely the severing of the agreement with now former CEO Nichole Gilbertson and former CFO Clint Reynolds. Both executives were MercyOne placements into RCH.
For the past few months the RCH board has been searching to replace these two important executives. The hospital was pleased to announce that they have filled one of the vacancies in the 41-year-old Toft as CFO a role in which he has already began.
Toft confirmed that the board has decided that until further notice he would also hold the additional responsibility of acting CEO in addition to his finance role.
Toft expressed to the Record News that he is looking forward to becoming a permanent member of the Mount Ayr community as he and his family settle into their new environment.
“My hope is to contribute to the continued integrity and growth of the hospital while preserving the positive culture and strong foundation that already exists at RCH.” Toft said.
The search for a qualified chief executive will continue as Toft assumes the dual role.
According to the hospital’s Facebook post, RCH seems excited to have Toft join the team. Toft is married with four children and hails from Carroll, Iowa.
The Ringgold County Hospital Board expressed its gratitude in the Facebook post stating “Welcome to RCH. We’re so glad you’re here.”
