Fort Dodge man charged with lascivious acts with a child in Marshall County

A Fort Dodge man has been charged with two felony and four aggravated misdemeanor counts of inappropriate contact with minors over allegations regarding acts that allegedly occurred in Marshalltown in 2021 and 2022.

A warrant for the arrest of Michael Thomas Rowley, 37, was issued on Aug. 26, and he was taken into custody by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office on Sept. 1. He has been charged with two counts of lascivious acts with a child, both Class C felonies, and four counts of indecent contact with a child, all aggravated misdemeanors.

According to a series of criminal complaints, Rowley is alleged to have touched multiple minors inappropriately, once in May of 2021 and several times in May of 2022.

He is currently being held in the Marshall County Jail on a $75,000 cash only bond, and a preliminary hearing is set for Sept. 14 at 9:30 a.m.
