A Blairstown Iowa man has been arrested after allegedly causing significant damage to a vehicle located in North Liberty earlier this summer.

Court records indicate 23-year-old Joshua Kincaid came to the man’s home at 2am July 31st and intentionally damaged their vehicle, causing excessive damage. The vehicle had a broken out back window with a rock resting in the back, a broken windshield, two broken mirrors, a broken antenna, scratches with profanities written in the paint, and two flat tires.

When contacted by law enforcement, Kincaid allegedly admitted to committing the damage. He also reportedly sent messages to the man via Facebook claiming to be responsible for the vehicle’s damage.

Total estimated damage was $6000.

A warrant for Kincaid’s arrest was issued August 5th; he was taken into custody Thursday. He faces a charge of 2nd degree criminal mischief, a Class D Felony punishable by a prison sentence of up to five years if convicted.
